To encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences, 3tentos took a group of around 30 rural producers and partners from Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso to East Asia. The itinerary includes visits to agricultural cooperatives, industries and ports, as well as a talk with the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture.
This edition of Agritour, a program that has already taken hundreds of partners to the United States, was held for the first time in China. The initiative aims to improve learning and insights through direct contact with agricultural activities on foreign soil, including visits to universities, research centers, industries and crops.
The trip, which lasted nine days, allowed participants to learn about unique aspects of eastern agriculture, in addition to exploring tourism and new technologies. Alan Araldi, Marketing Director at 3tentos, highlighted the importance of China as a destination. “China was chosen because it is one of Brazil's main trading partners and a major demander of Brazilian agricultural products, especially soybeans. Chinese agriculture is very different from that practiced in Brazil and the USA and offers valuable lessons learned”, he highlighted.
Tales Pezzini, producer from Santa Bárbara do Sul/RS and one of the members of the delegation, shared his perception about eastern agriculture: “In terms of agricultural production, we Brazilians are at the forefront. , even with less favorable climatic and soil conditions." However, Pezzini also highlighted learning opportunities in other areas. “We were able to see the advanced use of logistics technologies, shopping applications and financial services, which can be applied in some aspects of our business."
In addition to the visits and lectures, the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the participants was one of the highlights of the trip. “The most valuable thing for me was the opportunity to interact with fellow farmers from other regions. Spending these days together, discussing challenges and learning how each one deals with them, is without a doubt what made this experience the most,” concluded Pezzini.
